36th Fajr Film Festival to honor Iran dubber

The 36th Fajr Film Festival has scheduled to honor Iranian film dubber Manouchehr Esmaeili.

The esteemed Iranian artist will be honored with a lifetime achievement award at the 36th edition of the Fajr Film Festival, organizers said on Friday.

Esmaeili has voiced many leading characters played by famous Hollywood actors, including Gregory Peck, Charlton Heston, Laurence Olivier, James Cagney, and Marcello Mastroianni, among others.

The 78-year-old also lent his voice to many Iranian films produced during the 80s and 90s.

Organizers of the upcoming Fajr Film Festival earlier announced that filmmaker Mohammad Ali Najafi would also receive a lifetime achievement award.

The 36th Fajr Film Festival will be held in the Iranian capital city of Tehran from February 1-11.
